As a parent at Park, you have a great opportunity to start teaching good financial habits early.  For members under 17, Park offers savings accounts, CerKIDicates, and student checking for students 12-24.

Your role:  Being a Park Parent
The best part about opening an account with and for your child is that you have joint access.  That means if your teenager is traveling and needs money in the account, you can help.  Or you can help your child reach their savings goal by depositing money for them when you’re already at the branch.  You have the power to help your child succeed in their financial goals.

Savings:  Prepare for the future
Imagine your child has asked for a toy or game.  A Parkie’s Pals or J4T (Just 4 Teens) Savings Account can be opened with just $5 and can help teach your child to save for what they want and teach your child lessons about value.  In addition, here at Park we make it fun by offering prizes from the Prize Card when your child’s account reaches certain levels such as $100, $300, etc.  You’ll receive a Prize card when you open the account, and a Member Service Representative will stamp the card when you make deposits.

CerKIDicates:  Save with a great rate
For more serious savings, complemented by a seriously good rate, open a CerKIDicate.  This certificate pays a bonus rate on the standard 24-month certificate.  The certificate is for 24 months and only available to members 17 and under.  It gets better: this certificate has a minimum of only $100!  We make savings simple at Park.

Checking:  Are they ready?
If your child is getting their first job, earning money babysitting, or receives an allowance, the Student Checking Account for ages 12-24 can teach them good habits early.  Once again, you have joint control (optional for 18+) so you can monitor the account.  Rather than throwing your teen into the financial world on their own, why not be there to help them learn to manage their money more effectively?
