Park Community Credit Union Spin-Off FAQ’s

Due to the upcoming spin off of the Macon branches, access to your debit card will be unavailable for a brief period from Thursday, March 31st until early morning on April 1st.
It is our intent to provide access to your card until approximately 10:00 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2011 with continued access on Friday morning, April 1, 2011 as a new Robins Federal Credit Union member.

Notice to Macon members of changes beginning February 4, 2010:
In preparation of the merger Park Community Credit Union branches will no longer be taking new loan requests or membership applications beginning February 4th. If you need to apply for a new loan or want to join the credit union please visit one of the Robins Federal Credit Union locations. They will be happy to help with any of your needs.

What was the result of the vote?
The Macon membership voted overwhelmingly in favor of the spin-off to Robins Federal Credit Union.

Why did the spin-off take place?
Park Community made a business decision to concentrate growth in the Louisville market and the areas that are closer to Kentucky. Park Community worked diligently to find a conversion partner with the same service philosophies as Park Community and who offered the same great products. Additionally, Robins Federal has many more offices to serve you and even more free ATM’s.

Can I opt-out of the spin-off and have my account remain at Park CFCU for any reason?
No. All accounts identified as part of the spin-off group will be automatically transferred to Robins Federal.

Can I move my certificates and not be charged a penalty?
No, you will need to wait until the certificate matures.  Keep in mind, the rate you have now is most likely higher than what is available in the market today.  Plus, Park CFCU encourages you to give Robins Federal a chance to impress you with their level of service and the product line they have to offer.

I already have an account with Robins Federal what will happen to my Park CFCU account?
Existing Robins Federal members will not be assigned new member numbers.  Your Park CFCU accounts will be moved to your existing account at Robins Federal.  If you have multiple deposit products they will remain separate, but you can choose to combine them after the spin-off takes place by contacting Robins Federal directly.

Who do I call when I have a question about my accounts?
You will continue to contact Park CFCU until April 1st, at which time you will begin to contact Robins Federal.

What will happen to my loans or mortgage after the spin-off?
Robins Federal will continue to hold your loan under the original agreement you have with Park CFCU.  This means your rates, terms; payments, etc. will remain the same.  You will just make payments to Robins Federal instead of Park CFCU.

What will happen to my VISA credit card?
VISA card offered by Park CFCU is with a third party vendor and will remain unchanged. Payments and questions should still be addressed with them directly.

Will I continue to use my Park CFCU debit card/checks?
On April 1st, you will stop using your Park CFCU debit card/checks.  Robins Federal will be issuing you a new account number, new checks, and a new debit card prior to the conversion.  On April 1st, you will begin using your new Robins Federal checks and debit card. Park CFCU and Robins Federal will be working together to make sure any outstanding items clear your new account at Robins Federal.
We will also be working to make sure your outstanding items clear your new Robins Federal account.
You will be receiving additional information from Robins Federal regarding this in the coming weeks.

When will I no longer be able to use my Park CFCU debit card?
There will be a short period during the conversion that you will not have debit card access. You will not be able to use your Park CFCU after 10:00 PM on March 31. You can begin to use your Robins Federal card April 1 at 8 AM.

How will I access my new Robins Federal account after the spin-off?
You will be able to access your new Robins Federal account at any Robins Federal branch location.  You can also access your account anytime via Robins Federal’s FREE Online or Mobile Banking.  In addition you will have access to over 2,200 surcharge free ATMs nationwide. (For a listing of all available ATM’s visit Robins Federal’s website.)

Will my routing and transit number be changed?
Yes, it will change to Robins Federal’s routing number which is 261171587.  You will need this routing information to change any direct deposits or automatic payments to your new Robins Federal account.  You will also be getting additional information from Robins Federal on how to make these changes.  Both Robins Federal and Park CFCU will be available to assist you.

How long will it take to change my direct deposit?
That will depend on the originator however, Park CFCU and Robins Federal will work together to coordinate the timing so that you will not have problems with your direct deposit posting to your account.

Will the payments that I have set up on Bill Pay continue?
We will be working with Robins Federal to transfer as much information as possible

I currently have a Safety Deposit Box at the Eisenhower Branch. What will happen to it after the merge? Where will it be moved to?
Robins offers Safe Deposit Boxes at most of its Bibb County locations.  Park CFCU members that are interested can receive pricing, sizing and availability by contacting Robins Federal’s call center or visiting the branch.

Why can’t the Eisenhower Branch remain open?
Due to the proximity of Robins Federal’s Log Cabin location, they have made a business decision to close the Eisenhower branch.  Robins Federal offers 19 branch locations, including 5 convenient locations in Macon.

How close are the Robins Federal Credit Union branches to the Park branches I currently use?
Click here or cut and past the URL to your browser to locate the Robins Federal Credit Union branch closest to you. http://www.robinsfcu.org/LocationsHours/index.asp?address=city+or+zip+code&Search.x=26&Search.y=7

Does Robins Federal offer the same type of checking account that I currently have?  Will everything remain the same?
Robins Federal offers several types of checking accounts including interest bearing checking products.  While Robins Federal does not offer every type of account that is offered at Park CFCU they will transfer you to the account that best matches what you currently have.  More information on account types will be sent to you within the next several weeks.

I am the custodian on my child’s account, who is under 16. What will happen to their account after the spin-off? Also, my child has a cerKidicate under their youth account. What will happen to it after the spin-off?
Robins Federal does offer UTMA (custodian) accounts. All Park accounts currently designated as UTMA accounts will be transferred over as such. All certificates, cerKidicate or other, will be transferred over at the same rate and maturity.

Where can all of the spin-off information be found?
Starting February 1st - Robins Federal will have a spin-off information section on the home page of their website.  Anyone can go there to see all communication that has been sent out or shared regarding the spin-off.  If the information that is being looked for cannot be found there, feel free to contact Park CFCU or Robins Federal directly.
