Credit unions were founded on the philosophy of people helping people, and that is the purpose of the Saving Families Challenge. We’re helping hard working families learn how to manage their money, pay off debt, and set goals for the future.
Each season, we pair four families with their very own personal financial coach who analyzes their current financial situation, helps them create a budget, and helps them set financial goals. At the end of the season, the family that has the biggest financial transformation will receive $5,000!
Through blog entries and the help of FOX41 News in Louisville, KY, we shared in their struggles and achievements, and we’re gearing up for Season 2. The four families from Season 1 paid off nearly $34K in debt, increased their net worth by $69K, paid off 60 bills, and increased their credit scores a total of 250 points.
Season 2 is here, and we encourage you join in on the fun.
